Today, I went for my first run since the race and it was... National Running Day! Who knew there was a running holiday to celebrate?!? National Running Day is celebrated on the first Wednesday in June and this is the 4th year of the holiday.
Dean Karnazes explains...
It is a coast-to-coast celebration of a sport and activity that's simple, inexpensive, and fun. It's the perfect way for longtime runners to reaffirm their love of running and for beginners to kick off a lifetime and life-changing commitment.I did my part by going for a short run after school. Felt good to sweat a little after some time off. I also made an official National Running Day badge to commemorate the holiday.
